Why is the size and boat speed important!
whale watching on Cape Ann

  1. If the whales are 25 miles out, like they have been on most of the trips this season , you would not be able to make the trip in reasonable time. Unless you want to sit on a boat all day, book your trip with us NOW!
(Our trips are about 3-4 hours with at least an hour on the whales, even if the whales are 30 miles out)

  2. We now have seen more humpbacks per trip, then any other whale watch company on the north shore. (2001&2002 season)

  3. You will spend less time traveling to the whales and on most occasions will spend more time with the whales.

  4. Most of the time you would be the first boat on the whales. The Captains believe that is important for the sightings of the whales.

  5. The Hurricane's 115' length plus cruising speeds of 25 knots (if needed) helps to stabilize your ride therefore helping prevent sea sickness.
